Our favourite festive-season VIP guest, Father Christmas, and his merry magic fairy are coming to the Cableway this December, and we are super-excited!

Who needs a sleigh when you have two epic state-of-the-art cable cars to transport Father Christmas and his mega bag of gifts up and down Table Mountain, right?

Don’t miss your chance for a meet-and-greet with the Big Guy and his helper on Christmas Eve (Tuesday 24 December 2019) and Christmas Day (Wednesday 25 December 2019): 10am to 12pm at the Lower Cable Station and 12.15pm to 2pm at the Upper Cable Station.

Some tips to make the most of your festive-season visit to the Cableway:

• Use the free park-and-ride MyCiTi shuttle from the Lower Tafelberg Road parking lot to avoid traffic and parking woes
• Prebook your Cableway tickets online to help you join the faster-moving online ticketholders’ queue
• Pack some sunscreen, water and a jacket as it can get quite hot in the queue
