In February 2020, in collaboration with Shimansky, we ran a fabulous #WonderOfLove competition. Weekly winners won Shimansky sterling silver Table Mountain rings, while the overall winner walked away with a Shimansky Table Mountain ring with 27 diamonds, and a Cableway sunset experience for seven friends and family!

One of the Instagram competition entries came from the adorable Bailey! She kept barking at us on Instagram and, after a while, we couldn’t ignore her any longer. Because only human winners could receive a Table Mountain ring and sunset experience, Shimansky and Chommies decided to give the lucky Bailey a handcrafted collar and lead instead.

We were also burning to meet Bailey and wanted to give her an experience she would never forget. So, we invited her and her human parents, Leah Russell and Grant Kenchington, on a trip up Table Mountain via the Cableway. Since Bailey was the first dog to join us on an early-morning return cable-car trip, we were all quite excited!

Usually, guide and service dogs are welcome to ride up with their humans, but unfortunately we can’t allow any other pets onto the Cableway for health and safety reasons. This once-off trip with Bailey was therefore an exciting adventure for all of us, and it was such fun to host her for a morning above the clouds on Table Mountain.
