Class in the Clouds

The Cableway runs a programme for South African primary and high schools during term-time and the school holidays, excluding weekends and public holidays.

In 2001, the company started a Class in the Clouds programme for primary and high schools. Since its inception, more than 230 000 learners have participated in the programme.

For R39 per learner, any South African school can join Table Mountain Aerial Cableway’s educational programme, from March 1 to October 31, 2013.

Take advantage of our combo deal, at an additional R21, the learner gets a hot dog and a fruit juice. The combo-deal works out to R60 and must be pre-ordered.

Booking is compulsory and no provisional or telephonic bookings are accepted.

Insider's tip

It’s roughly 6°C colder at the summit of Table Mountain than at ground level. Do bring something warm in case conditions are chilly at the top! In the summer months remember sunblock and a hat – it gets very hot up there.
