21 September 2011Table Mountain Cableway closes for annual maintenance
13 July 2011Table Mountain Cableway will be closed for annual maintenance from Monday July 18 to Sunday July 31 this year.
The 2011 maintenance plan includes major power line repairs and servicing the hydraulics and main motor gear box. Table Mountain Cableway is required to do annual maintenance to meet the highest global cableway standards set by the Swiss Governing Body for Cableways (BAV).
Cableway and National Park to call in experts after rockfall in bus bay
7 June 2011Table Mountain Aerial Cableway and Table Mountain National Park will call in experts to inspect the mountainside after three boulders landed in a bus parking bay near the lower station this morning (Tuesday, June 7, 2011). The incident happened at 08h20 before the Cableway Company opened for business at 08h30. No one was harmed nor property damaged by the rock fall.
