Now that the sun is out and the winter rains are behind us, celebrate the start of the warm weather by visiting Table Mountain Cableway with friends and family. Your kids can ride for free every weekend, public holiday and during the September school holidays, until the end of October this year.

Sabine Lehmann, CEO of Table Mountain Cableway Company, has won CEO Magazine’s 2010 Most Influential Women (MIW) in Business and Government award in the tourism and leisure category, at the MIW gala event at Gallagher Estate in Johannesburg on July 30.

Table Mountain Cableway will be closed for annual maintenance from Monday August 23 to Friday August 27 this year.

Kids can have a ball on top of Table Mountain these winter holidays. Table Mountain Cableway is running a fabulous holiday programme for children from Thursday June 10 to Tuesday July 12. The holiday programme is part of Cableway’s family winter special that kicked off on May 1 and runs until Sunday October 31. Two kids under 18 years ride for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult.

The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway has been awarded the highest level of responsible tourism status by a local environmental rating programme, making it the first and only tourism attraction in the country to achieve this.

This Easter weekend (Friday April 2 to Monday April 5), Table Mountain Aerial Cableway is offering fun activities for the entire family. Spot and snap a picture of the Easter Bunny and you could win a set of family tickets for another trip up the Cableway.

Easter weekend activities include Easter basket making, an Easter egg hunt and a visit from the Easter fairy and the Mad Hatter. Participating families are to meet at the Twelve Apostles Terrace, on top of Table Mountain, anytime from 10am to 2pm each day from Friday April 2 to Monday April 5.

Take your romance to new heights thanks to Table Mountain Aerial Cableway’s Month of Love Sunset Special which runs until Sunday February 28. The Table Mountain Café is also offering a special Valentine’s menu valid from 12 - 18 February 2010.
