It’s roughly 6°C colder at the summit of Table Mountain than at ground level. Do bring something warm in case conditions are chilly at the top! In the summer months remember sunblock and a hat – it gets very hot up there.

This holiday to South Africa was the second in two years. The first time we went to Cape Town in 2009, the queue was too long to go to the top of Table Mountain. Now, two years later, we managed to get tickets via the internet. Our kind guesthouse-owner Maarten rserved the tickets for us. But in the morning of Friday 30 december, it was too windy. Later in the afternoon the top was opened again and we went up. There I made this video to remember everything. The next day we went to family in Pretoria. Everybody in Holland where I come from loves my video, because it takes you as a viewer almost in the same cable way as we did. I hope you will enjoy it too!
