Twitter image: the lion and the fog
You would be forgiven for thinking the tip of Africa has shifted north when looking at this photograph, it’s so reminiscent of Norway’s Northern Lights.
We found this photograph doing the rounds on social networks. It was taken from Table Mountain, as the fog rolled in from the Atlantic Ocean around Lion’s Head, by Eric Nathan. Nathan is a self-taught, Cape Town-based photographer who travels the world in search of the unique and unusual.
Experiencing the sun setting over the Atlantic Ocean, watching a bank of clouds covering Cape Town or seeing a curtain of fog rolling in, can all be done from the top of Table Mountain. Buy your tickets online or at the ticket office. During winter the last cable car ascends at 17h00 and descends at 18h00.
