Table Mountain’s New7Wonders status: the confirmation process unfolds
Your vote mattered. Table Mountain has been named one of the provisional New7Wonders of Nature. Now, the process of confirming it as an official Wonder is underway. So far, Jeju Island and the Puerto Princesa underground river have had their New7Wonders status confirmed, and soon Table Mountain will take its official place alongside these beautiful destinations.
Here is a short explanation of how the process of confirming a Wonder unfolds…
With the first step of the verification process underway, and the provisional New7Wonders of Nature named after an initial vote-tally in Zurich, all SMS and telephonic votes now need to be checked once more.
Once a total worldwide calculation and validation of votes has taken place, the preparation and implementation of official inauguration events can take place.
Official announcements will be made as each provisional Wonder is confirmed.
With millions of votes to count, as a new voting record was set leading up to the provisional announcements last year, each Wonder will have to wait in anticipation for their accolades to be cemented in the history books.
