Table Mountain New7Wonders of Nature inauguration weekend: Twitter pictures

Table Mountain was officially inaugurated as a New7Wonder of Nature on Sunday, December 2, 2012. Representatives of the New7Wonders and delegates from the six other sites (Amazon, Halong Bay, Iguazu Falls, Jeju Island, Komodo and Puerto Princessa Undergroud River), joined local dignitaries at the lower cableway station on Sunday morning for the official unveiling of the New7Wonders of Nature plaque.

Thousands of people made use of the Table Mountain Cableway during the inauguration weekend to celebrate the the iconic landmark’s prestigious status and thousands more took time to appreciate the beauty of the mountain from various points in and around Cape Town.
