Table Mountain Aerial Cableway gets ‘diskified’ ahead of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™
Football fans across South Africa and around the world are learning the diski dance to prepare for the FIFA World Cup™ kick-off in June, and Table Mountain Aerial Cableway employees are no exception!
As part of TMAC’s preparations, which started several months ago, staff members have been honing their diski dance skills – and sharing them on the World Wide Web.
During the World Cup period, the Cableway will be operating according to its peak season schedule, meaning there will be more staff and more stock in place to cope with the thousands of extra tourists expected to take a trip to the top of Table Mountain.
TMAC staff members proudly show off their skills in this YouTube video, which has been watched more than 700 times already:
TMAC employees aren’t the only people practising the diski dance on top of Table Mountain.
American internet celebrity, Matt Harding, known as “Dancing Matt” for his viral videos that show him gyrating in front of international landmarks, also did the diski on the summit.
His latest video, showing him dancing at several popular tourist spots in South Africa, has already been viewed more than 80 000 times, and is a firm favourite across Europe:
There’s no doubt South Africa is dancing its way to the World Cup in less than three months’ time.
Make sure you can also do the diski before kick-off!
