Spring Splendour – harnessing flower power!
You may have read some of our blog posts on the beautiful blooms that have begun to colour the slopes of Table Mountain – of course, we couldn’t engineer this glorious transformation if we tried! Slowly but surely Cape Town is shaking off her winter coat, spreading her arms wide and embracing the summer sun. But first, it’s springtime!
Our Spring Splendour family special is specially tailored for families keen on taking in the change of seasons. Running until October 31, the Spring Splendour special allows two children under 18 years to ride for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult. Valid during weekends, on public holidays and over the September school holidays, it’s the perfect way to get out and about as a family.
But that’s not all we’re doing to celebrate the arrival of spring. We’ve also decorated the centre consoles and ceilings of our cable cars with indigenous flowers and greenery. The décor has brightened up the ride for all our visitors – and staff members are loving the burst of colour too!
As you walk along the mountain paths at the top, take time to bask in the natural blanket of spring flowers courtesy of the world’s smallest – and richest – fynbos floral kingdom, right here on Table Mountain.
The Spring Splendour family special ticket price is R160 per adult (return) and includes two children under 18 travelling free (the normal child rate is R80). This special is valid for return trips only.
