Spring Splendour at Cableway
Now that the sun is out and the winter rains are behind us, celebrate the start of the warm weather by visiting Table Mountain Cableway with friends and family. Your kids can ride for free every weekend, public holiday and during the September school holidays, until the end of October this year.
This week the centre consol and ceiling of each cable car has been decorated with indigenous flowers and greenery to celebrate the arrival of spring. Walk along the mountain paths and see the natural blanket of spring flowers and fynbos in the world’s smallest floral kingdom on Table Mountain.
Families can take advantage of the Cableway’s Family Special that runs until Sunday October 31. Two kids under 18 years ride for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult. Valid during weekends, on public holidays and over the September school holidays.
Enjoy delicious snacks and meals at the Table Mountain Café and browse the Shop at the Top for a wide variety of souvenirs and gifts to keep the entire family happy.
The Cableway’s Family Special ticket price is R160 per adult return and includes two children under 18 years travelling free (normal child rate is R80). Valid on return fares only.
Adults receive a free Cableway ticket on their birthday on presentation of their South African identity document.
The Cableway operates weather permitting.
