Table Mountain Cableway’s Sunset Special will be running for another month or so. Until February 29, you can get your tickets at half-price after 18h00 (valid on return tickets only). Sunsets on Table Mountain are spectacular; here are some pictures to whet your twilight appetite.

Take dinner to new heights with the Sunset Special Ride and Dine package. The package includes a half-price return Cableway ticket and a voucher for the Table Mountain Café. The Ride and Dine package also gives early access to the Cableway from 17h30. The package costs R187.50 per adult return and R92.50 per child return if you buy online, and R197.50 per adult and R97.50 per child at the Cableway’s ticket office. Enjoy further discounts and avoid ticket office queues by buying Ride and Dine tickets online.
A special vantage point can be enjoyed from the Summit Lounge – this is a great location for private and corporate functions.
Twilight time is also great contemplation time.
What can beat this horizon?
In addition to the Sunset Special, Table Mountain Cableway runs a series of specials throughout the year. South African undergraduate students and pensioners pay less on Fridays, and if it’s your birthday you can ride for free.

Tickets are half-price after 18h00 from Tuesday, November 1, 2011, to Wednesday, February 29, 2012. This is valid on return tickets only. These tickets can only be bought from the Cableway’s ticket office at the Lower Cable Station from 18h00.
Sunset Special rates
Sunset Special tickets are valid from 18h00 daily, and can be purchased from the Cableway’s ticket office. The tickets cost R97.50 per adult and R47.50 per child.
Ride and Dine package
Visitors can also enjoy sundowners and a meal at the top of Table Mountain by treating themselves to the Ride and Dine package that includes a half-price return Cableway ticket and a voucher for the Table Mountain Café. The Ride and Dine package also gives early access to the Cableway from 17h30.
