Ne-Yo on our summit!
American R&B sensation Ne-Yo surprised young fans on Table Mountain today. The star is in South Africa for two shows as part of his world tour and arrived in Cape Town after a dazzling performance in Johannesburg on Saturday night. His first stop: Table Mountain, courtesy of a Table Mountain Aerial Cableway ride to the top.
The Closer singer was seen taking a long, vista-absorbing look at the city below. It may have been a typically misty autumn day with the tablecloth doing its thing, but that didn’t detract from the scope and beauty of his vantage point.
Typical of a star of this magnitude, Ne-Yo was in the company of an entourage of bodyguards, but he nevertheless graciously posed for photographs with young learners and had no issues with signing autographs for anyone who asked.
Ne-Yo, who is also a prolific songwriter with credits for artists such as Rihanna, Leona Lewis and Enrique Iglesias under his belt, performs at the Bellville Velodrome tomorrow night, May 4, before continuing on his tour. Thanks for visiting our mountain, Ne-Yo!
