Free Cableway rides during Kidz Season
Share the wonders of South Africa’s most celebrated mountain with your children during the Table Mountain Cableway’s Kidz Season, when two kids ride for free with an adult when an adult return ticket is purchased.
More about Kidz Season and our exciting photo competition here!
Soar through the clouds, soak up crisp clean air, hunt for dassies and fynbos flowers, and marvel at the most photographed views in South Africa. Then take part in the kiddie’s treasure hunt before heading to the Table Mountain Café for pizza and hot chocolate – the perfect ending to a fun family experience.
Kidz Season, which kicks off on Sunday, May 1, 2011 and ends on Sunday, October 30, 2011 offers free tickets to two children under 18 years when accompanied by a full-paying adult on weekends, public holidays and during the school holidays.
As a part of the Kidz Season experience, all children will be given a treasure hunt map and a Kidz Season armband on arrival. Kids can win fun prizes when using the treasure hunt map, and will also receive a 10% discount on specially marked items at The Shop at the Top when they show off their Kidz Season armband.
A special entertainment programme for kids will be running during the school holidays featuring magic and puppet shows, face painting and craft activities.
The Table Mountain Café, on the top of the mountain, will offer the Kidz Season Café Special: a pizza slice plus a hot chocolate at R26.50 (for under-18s).
The Cableway’s Kidz Season ticket price is R180 per adult return ticket and includes two children under 18 years travelling free (normal child rate R90) over weekends, public and school holidays. Valid on return fares only.
The Cableway operates weather permitting. For information visit www.tablemountain.net or call (021) 424 8181.
