  • 31 January 2012

The Cableway’s popular Class in the Clouds programme will be open for bookings from Wednesday February 1, with classes set to commence on Thursday March 1.

Now in its 10th year, Class in the Clouds is the perfect escape for primary and high school scholars from the confines of a classroom, and an educational experience like no other – on top of Table Mountain.

The programme is aimed at South African learners from grades 1 to 12, and is particularly suited to school outings themed around travel and tourism, geography and environmental studies.

Class in the Clouds allows learners to explore the fascinating world of Table Mountain’s diverse range of fauna and flora, as well as discover more about the history of Table Mountain – one of the New7Wonders of Nature – and its geology.

Worksheets can be downloaded from the Cableway’s website, or sent through to schools on request.

Tickets cost only R37 per learner, and a Class in the Clouds outing includes a free ticket for the accompanying teacher or supervising adult. For R18 extra per learner, the Class in the Clouds combo deal includes a hotdog and juice or hot chocolate.

Book now and start the school year with a special lesson your learners are sure to remember for years to come.
