Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company is offering a spectacular winter special to all South African families - two children under 18 years get a free return trip if accompanied by a full paying adult from May 1 to September 15, 2007.

Sabine Lehmann has been appointed Chief Executive Officer at the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company.

Collette van Aswegen has been appointed Marketing Manager at te Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company.

The Cableway is working in conjunction with the City of Cape Town to create a Low Emission Zone at the Lower Cable Station parking area.

The Cableway was pleased and proud to be a finalist in the Imvelo awards in the category of “Best Overall Environmental Management Programme”.

The International Association for Impact Assessment, South Africa, (IAIAsa) presented their awards at their annual conference in August, held at Thaba’Nchu, in the Free State. The Cableway sponsors a cash prize for the Best “Young Person”” Paper Award.

The Class in the Clouds promotion is an exciting and innovative school outing initiated to promote learning beyond the classroom.

Table Mountain Cableway will be closed for annual maintenance from 25th July 2005 until 7th August 2005. The Cableway will re-open for business, weather permitting, at 08h30 on Monday 8th August 2005.
